A super easy side dish or starter that Marmite fans will simply love! Ready in about 20 minutes and super easy to make. You can even prepare Marmite garlic bread ahead of time and store it in the freezer too!
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, Marmite, and minced garlic together until well combined.
Slice the baguette or ciabatta in half lengthwise, then spread the Marmite garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides. Alternatively, you can slice it into portions 3/4 of the way through horizontally and spread the butter mixture in between the slices.
Sprinkle the grated cheese generously over the top of the buttered bread.
Place the bread halves on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden.
Remove from the oven and, if desired, sprinkle with fresh parsley for garnish.
Slice the bread into halves or smaller pieces and serve warm.
Recipe Notes
Make sure the butter is softened to room temperature for easy mixing with the Marmite and garlic. If the butter is too cold, it won’t blend well, leading to clumps in the spread.
For a variation try using cheddar in place of mozzarella.
